Haemophillus Paragallinarum (HPG) Detection Kit
Introduction
The Haemophilus paragallinarum (HPG) Nucleic Acid Detection Kit (Fluorescent PCR Method) is designed for the rapid detection of nucleic acids associated with infectious coryza in chickens. Infectious coryza is primarily caused by Haemophilus paragallinarum infection and may result in nasal discharge, conjunctivitis, infraorbital sinus swelling, facial edema, reduced feed intake, and decreased egg production and hatchability in laying hens. The disease can spread rapidly within flocks, while clinically affected birds and asymptomatic carriers may both serve as sources of infection, contributing to persistent and recurrent outbreaks.
This kit uses fluorescent PCR technology to detect HPG-specific nucleic acid sequences and is suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of suspected cases, flock screening, and carrier surveillance. Testing samples such as nasal swabs and infraorbital sinus exudates from affected birds can help identify HPG infection at an early stage and support differential diagnosis from other diseases with similar respiratory signs or facial swelling, including infectious laryngotracheitis, Klebsiella infection, and swollen head syndrome. The results provide reliable support for flock isolation, treatment, disease control, eradication programs, and biosecurity management.
