Erysipelothrix rubra (SER) Detection Kit
Introduction
Erysipelothrix rubra (often known as Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae) is a bacterium that causes erysipelas in animals, especially pigs, and can also affect poultry and several other animals. This disease can cause various symptoms, including:
• high fever
• diamond-shaped skin lesions (diamond skin disease)
• arthritis
• heart problems
• decreased production performance
• and even death in severe cases
Because symptoms can vary and mimic those of other infectious diseases, accurate laboratory detection is crucial to confirm the diagnosis and prevent the spread of the disease on farms.
