Mycobacterium bovis (MB) Detection Kit
Introduction
Mycobacterium bovis (M. bovis) is a Gram-positive, aerobic pathogenic bacterium belonging to the family Mycobacteriaceae. It is also an important member of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTC). This pathogen is the main causative agent of bovine tuberculosis, primarily affecting cattle, but it can also infect other animal species. In some cases, humans may become infected through direct contact with infected animals or by consuming contaminated dairy products, posing a certain zoonotic risk. Bovine tuberculosis usually has a chronic course. Infected animals may show weight loss, poor body condition, persistent coughing, and tuberculous lesions in the lungs, lymph nodes, and other organs, causing serious impacts on animal health and livestock production.
Bovine tuberculosis is one of the major diseases in livestock disease prevention and control. It can not only lead to reduced productivity and animal culling, but also increase the costs of quarantine, isolation, and disease control management, resulting in significant economic losses for farms. Since the disease develops slowly and early clinical signs are often not obvious, rapid and accurate pathogen identification is essential for controlling transmission, protecting herd health, and supporting disease eradication programs.
The SunshinyMed Mycobacterium bovis PCR Detection Kit adopts real-time fluorescence PCR technology and is designed for the in vitro qualitative detection of M. bovis genomic nucleic acids in animal samples. This product uses specific primers and probes, offering fast detection, high sensitivity, strong specificity, and reliable results. It provides molecular detection support for the early screening, pathogen confirmation, epidemic surveillance, and herd health management of bovine tuberculosis.
