Goat pox virus (GPV) Detection Kit
Introduction
Goatpox virus (Goatpox virus, GTPV) belongs to the genus Capripoxvirus of the family Poxviridae. It is closely related to sheeppox virus and lumpy skin disease virus. Since these viruses are difficult to distinguish by serological methods, molecular biology techniques are usually required for differential detection. Goatpox is mainly characterized by fever, papules, nodular lesions on the skin, and sometimes pustular lesions. Transmission usually occurs via aerosols after close contact with infected animals, especially when affected animals have ulcerated papules on the mucous membranes, which increases the risk of transmission. Goatpox is commonly found in regions north of the equator in Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and India, posing an important challenge to livestock production and animal disease control.
The SunshinyMed Goatpox Virus (GTPV) PCR Detection Kit is designed for the in vitro qualitative detection of goatpox virus nucleic acids in samples. This product adopts real-time fluorescence PCR technology and uses specific primers and probes to rapidly, sensitively, and accurately detect goatpox virus genomic nucleic acids in suspected samples, while assisting in the differentiation of related poxvirus infections. Real-time PCR detection offers the advantages of strong specificity, high sensitivity, fast turnaround time, and reliable results, making it suitable for veterinary laboratories, animal disease surveillance institutions, port quarantine, and disease prevention and control on farms.
By using the SunshinyMed Goatpox Virus (GTPV) PCR Detection Kit, testing personnel can rapidly screen suspected animal samples and confirm the pathogen, providing reliable molecular detection support for the early identification, epidemic surveillance, transmission risk assessment, and control management of goatpox. This helps reduce the risk of virus transmission and supports the safety of goat farming and the healthy development of the livestock industry.
